Courses: Skill Recognition

What is Skills Recognition?

Skills Recognition is the term used to describe the assessment and formal recognition of the competencies that you have already obtained through formal or informal training, work and/or life experiences.

Through the RISE Skills Recognition pathway you are not required to undertake training in areas where you are already competent.

Skills Recognition opens doors to further training, career advancement and personal development. You can undertake the program in your own home, in your own time, and it's very affordable.

RISE will help you get your skills recognised.

What will I gain from having my skills assessed?

You can gain a formal qualification that is nationally recognised. This recognised qualification can expand your career horizons and open new doors by assuring employers that you have the skills and knowledge they're looking for.

The RISE Skills Recognition pathway is a key feature of Australia's new vocational education and training system. Its focus is on what you can do, not on how or where you learned to do it.

If you have experience working in the sport and recreation industry, this assessment process can help you gain a recognised qualification, even if you've never undertaken formal training.
